ja'uPy · v1.1 · 2026-11-06 · [email protected]

Terms of Use · ja'uPy

1. Who we are

ja'uPy is an app developed and published by Irundy Apps — Capiatá, Paraguay — [email protected] (“Irundy Apps”, “we”). Contact: [email protected].

2. Acceptance

By installing, opening or using ja'uPy, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The first time you open the app you are asked to accept them expressly; if we change them in a relevant way, we will ask you again.

3. What ja'uPy is (and what it is not)

3.1. ja'uPy is an app of Paraguayan and home-style recipes. In Paraguay it calculates how much each dish costs for your family, suggests what to cook with the money you enter and builds the shopping list and the weekly menu. Outside Paraguay it shows the recipes with their history and what they cost in Paraguay, also in your currency.

3.2. ja'uPy does not sell food, does not take orders and does not charge anything on your behalf. In Paraguay, the button to order the ingredients opens an external website, which has its own terms.

3.3. ja'uPy is not a government app and does not provide nutritional, medical or financial advice.

4. Approximate prices and exchange rates

Costs are estimates: they come from published average prices and from a reference table that is reviewed every month, and they are shown with a range and the month of the prices. The real price changes with the place, the brand and the day.

Outside Paraguay, the conversion to your currency uses the exchange rate of the date shown, from a free public source. If there is no rate for your currency, the app does not make one up: it shows prices in guaraníes and US dollars and tells you so.

5. Recipes, food and alcoholic drinks

Quantities, portions and times are a guide. Check the ingredients if anyone eating has allergies or intolerances (for example, to gluten, milk or egg) and cook hygienically: meat well cooked and food kept cold.

Some traditional recipes contain alcohol (clericó, caña with rue): they are marked “🔞 Alcoholic drink, only for adults of legal drinking age in your country” and are only for people of legal drinking age under the law of your country. Caña with rue is a folk custom, not a remedy.

6. Photos of the dishes

The photos of the dishes come from Wikimedia Commons, under free licenses; the author and license of each one are in About → Photos. If you are the author of a photo and see a mistake in the credit, write to us at [email protected].

7. Your data

What you save (your family, your favorites, today's money, the weekly menu) stays on your phone. If you lose it, it breaks or you uninstall the app, that data is lost and we cannot recover it.

8. No warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Irundy Apps does not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, or that the prices, costs or exchange rates will match those of a particular store or day.

9. Limitation of liability

9.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Irundy Apps will not be liable for direct or indirect damages, lost profits, expenses higher than estimated, lost data, or decisions that you or anyone else makes based on the app.

9.2. If a competent authority finds that there is liability despite the above, it will be limited to the amount you paid Irundy Apps for the app in the twelve (12) months before the event (in the free version, zero).

9.3. Nothing here limits the rights that the law grants you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.

10. Permitted use

You may not copy, decompile or redistribute the app, its texts or its recipes except as permitted by law, or use it to deceive or harm other people. You can share recipes and shopping lists from the app itself.

11. Age

ja'uPy is intended for adults who cook or do the household shopping. It is not intended for minors.

12. Pro version, purchases and ads

12.1. The free version may show third-party ads (Google AdMob). Ads are not recommendations from Irundy Apps and are never shown on top of the costs, the shopping list or a notice.

12.2. The Pro version is bought in the app store (for example, Google Play). Billing, cancellation and refunds are governed by that store’s terms.

13. Intellectual property

The app, its design, its texts, the “ja'uPy” and “Irundy Apps” brands and their logos belong to Irundy Apps or its licensors.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always in the app and at https://irundyapps.com/legal/jaupy/. If the change is relevant, we will ask you to accept it again.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Paraguay. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Capiatá, Paraguay, without prejudice to the non-waivable rights that the law of your country grants you as a consumer, including the right to complain to the authorities of your country.

16. Contact

If you find an error in the app or in a text, write to us at [email protected]. We review every report and correct whatever is needed.

Privacy Policy · ja'uPy

1. Controller

Responsible for the app: Irundy Apps — Capiatá, Paraguay — [email protected]. Privacy contact: [email protected].

2. In one line

What you save in ja'uPy (your family, your favorites, today's money, the guests and the weekly menu) stays only on your phone. There are no accounts or sign-ups, and we do not receive it or store it on any server.

3. What the app stores on your phone

• Your family: how many adults and children eat at home, and the day's guests (with the name you type, if you type one).

• The money for today's meal, the weekly menu and your favorite recipes.

• Your acceptance of these texts (date and version), your preferences (mode, language, currency, notifications) and the latest prices and exchange rates the app downloaded.

This data does not leave your phone unless you share it. You can delete it by clearing the app's data in your phone's settings or by uninstalling it.

4. What the app downloads and what you share

Once a day, when there is internet, the app downloads public files: a list of average prices from Paraguayan grocery stores (without naming any), a reference price table from our website and, outside Paraguay, the day's exchange rate. It does not send any of your data to do this; as with any web page, those servers (Cloudflare) only see the internet address of the request.

When you share a recipe or the shopping list, the app opens WhatsApp (or another app you choose) with the text already written; what is sent is subject to that app's rules. In Paraguay, the button to order the ingredients opens an external website in the browser, with its own privacy rules.

5. Technical data collected by third-party services

For the app to work, improve and be funded we use services that collect technical and usage data, never names, phone numbers, IDs, amounts or what you record:

• Firebase Analytics (Google): which screens are used and what fails. Data: a random installation identifier, device model, system version, language, approximate country and usage events. It can be turned off in About → “Anonymous statistics”. Google keeps these statistics for up to 2 months.

• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): to detect and fix unexpected crashes. Technical data about the error and the device. Kept for up to 90 days.

• Google AdMob (Google): the ads in the free version. Data: the advertising ID, device data and interaction with ads.

• Google Play (purchases): processes the Pro version. We only receive the purchase confirmation.

• Our own anonymous measurement (the app factory’s server, on Cloudflare): counts how many times the app is opened and its recommendations are tapped. It stores only the day, the app and the type of event, without any phone identifier.

These providers process data under their own policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.

6. Notifications

Notifications (“What shall we cook today?”, the holidays) are scheduled on the phone itself, without going through any server, and do not show any of your data. They are off until you say yes, and you can turn them off in Settings.

7. Purposes and legal basis

Operation and security of the app (provision of the service and legitimate interest). Statistics and improvement (consent where the law requires it; legitimate interest where it does not).

Ads: where the law requires your consent (for example, in the European Union), Google asks for it with its form before using your data for personalized ads. In other countries, including Paraguay, Google may personalize ads using the phone’s advertising ID; you can reset it or ask that it not be used for personalized ads in your phone’s settings. The app never passes your family details, the money you enter or your menu to Google.

We do not sell data. We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you.

8. International transfers

Google and Cloudflare services may process technical data outside your country (for example, in the United States), with recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Retention

What you enter is kept on your phone until you delete it. Technical data, for the time indicated in point 5.

10. Your rights

Under the law of your country, you may request access, rectification, deletion and objection, and withdraw your consent where applicable. Since we do not receive what you enter in the app, for that data it is enough to correct or delete it in the app. For technical data you can reset your advertising ID, turn off statistics in the app or write to us at [email protected]. You may also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

For example: in Paraguay, Law No. 7593/2025 on Personal Data Protection; in the European Union, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR); in Brazil, Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD). For other countries, check your country’s data protection law.

11. Minors

The app is not intended for minors and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12. Security

What you save in ja'uPy is protected by the security of your own phone: use a screen lock.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy. The current version is in the app and at https://irundyapps.com/legal/jaupy/. If the change is relevant, we will let you know in the app and ask you to accept it again. Contact: Irundy Apps — Capiatá, Paraguay — [email protected].
